Middle East Director for Waste

Richard is an Associate Director in Ricardo Energy & Environment’s Resource Efficiency and Waste Management Practice.

Based in our Dubai office, Richard is Ricardo’s Middle East Director for Waste. He has full responsibility for the winning and delivery of our Middle East projects. He is a Chartered Waste Manager and has over 15 years experience in the waste industry. Whilst leading our regional presence, Richard also acts as a conduit to Ricardo’s subject matter experts and our industry leading technical expertise.

Richard has worked in the Middle East since 2007 and is one of the region’s longest serving and most knowledgeable consultants. During this time, he has worked on a myriad of waste and environmental projects across the region. He was involved as a waste technical specialist on some of the region’s earliest master planned cities and developments and has also delivered numerous waste projects across the region, representing private sector clients and all levels of Government.

Richard’s experience covers the full spectrum of waste services. He has delivered projects across the value chain of waste management from initial waste characterisation and planning, through to procurement of waste collection services and infrastructure development. His particular interest lies in managing client relationships and leading multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of strategic and complex waste projects. Richard is committed to achieving our Company’s vision of a ‘World fit for the Future’ and is excited to support our clients in achieving regional government commitments related to climate change and waste reduction and diversion.
