Louise is a consummate environmental professional with 15 years’ international waste and resource management experience. Louise’s industry knowledge, expertise and project management skills are currently being used to support mainly local and federal Government departments and Australian businesses. Louise’s early career in the UK comprised of projects which mainly encompassed collating waste data and creating complex waste models to forecast arisings and waste flows over 25 year periods to inform council strategies and business cases. She also has a comprehensive understanding of waste contract procurement and management, financial impact analysis, waste minimisation initiatives and the relative merits of different recycling collection systems. This combined this with her analytical approach to data analysis, communication and report writing skills, results in a highly skilled consultant who understands the intricacies of data gathering, manipulation and appropriate presentation methods. Since arriving in Australia in February 2013, these skills and experience have been applied to a number of local council and regional groups of councils in support of baseline waste reviews, options assessments and strategy development, across both the municipal and commercial waste streams. More recently over the last 5 years, Louise has supported Australian architects and developers through the planning approvals process for new developments, which has required detailed knowledge of the types of waste likely to be generated by the businesses and appropriate collection and processing techniques for these SME’s
