Simon specialises in supporting organisations to develop and implement their whole energy and carbon strategies. He is an Associate Director with over 20 years' experience working in the energy sector with 12 years working in Local Energy Systems. Simon has worked extensively on energy policy studies for a range of public sector clients, at government level and local authority level. The studies have supported decision makers in the implementation of policy to support or finance a range of renewable technologies.
Simon's ability to deliver policy analysis builds on his technical expertise in renewable electricity generation having evaluated the performance of solar PV, wind hydro, biomass and heat pump installations of small, medium or large scale. Simon has supported over 40 renewable developments in the last 3 years, including work on whole energy systems for private and public sector clients. He understands the interdependencies of technologies, systems and society.
This breadth of commercial experience, project development for site developers and project funders, means Simon knows what is required across the full project development cycle, from concept through to construction, to deliver a commercially viable project.
