Rachel Yardley is an Associate Director and experienced project manager who has worked in the field of air quality for 18 years. Rachel has worked as Project Director for the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory since 2011 and has extensive experience working closely with UK Government and the European Commission through a range of high-profile and complex contracts since 2002, including development of Defra’s Scenario Modelling Tool for air pollutant emissions. Rachel has a background in environmental chemistry, specialising in air quality measurements, and she has a strong focus on quality, communication and customer satisfaction, with a proven track record of delivering work packages on time and on budget. As Head of Greenhouse Gas and Air Pollutant Emissions at Ricardo, Rachel leads a team of 25 and has responsibility for managing the portfolio of projects, business development activities and investment work, ensuring that resources are available to deliver all projects and collaborating/sharing knowledge and skills with other Ricardo teams.
