NCEC's Hazmat conference is an essential opportunity for hazmat specialists to gain knowledge, and share their experiences and expertise with like-minded professionals working in the hazmat and chemical incident industry.
The format for Hazmat 2020 will include a range of case studies and interactive exercises. Sessions will cover a cross-section of subjects as we look to increase multi-agency representation. Delegates will have the opportunity to tailor their experience by registering for specific workshops once the programme has been finalised.
All the subjects covered would be relevant to people involved in chemical incident response and the setting provides a great opportunity to question and discuss content both in the forum and informally one-to-one. Delegates are drawn from chemical companies including pharmaceuticals and hazmat consultancies, fire services, police forces, airport crew, ambulance services, the MOD, chemical industry and bodies such as the Environment Agency, Public Health England and the Met Office.
A pre-conference half-day workshop will also be held on 12 October 2020, 1pm-5pm, during which, one of our crisis consultants will work with you to support you in developing an understanding of a range of emotional responses to major incidents, both how the emotional response informs and changes perceptions and decision makings during the incident itself, along with its long-term impacts and the effects of stress. This is a limited numbers workshop with only 20 delegate places available. Find out more about the workshop here. Please note, you can attend this workshop independant of Hazmat 2020.
Registrations for the event end 25 September 2020. Visit www.hazmatevent.co.uk to book your place today.
