Join our special COP26 webinar to learn about the important role which market-based instruments play in helping to achieve emission reductions outlined in Turkey’s INDC.
We will look at the developed voluntary carbon market which exists in the country and how the changing requirements in the international offsetting regulations restrict its developments, as international standards such as Gold Standard and Verra, will no longer accept new renewable energy projects from non-least developed countries.
We will also show you how other means to support and accelerate the development of the Turkish carbon market can help the country to reap the benefit of the participation.
This event will be a great opportunity to understand how emerging opportunities on the domestic and international carbon markets can support achievement of national decarbonisation targets.
Who is this webinar for?
This virtual event will be particularly useful for:
Turkish public sector participants and project developers looking to better understand future opportunities to finance their decarbonisation efforts.
Private sector participants searching for insights into planning for participation in new and emerging carbon offset markets such as those under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and CORSIA.
International participants wanting to learn about how Turkey takes forward these important areas of policy with a view to applying it in other contexts.
This event will be delivered as a panel discussion and a Q&A session with the following speakers:
Moderators: Florianne de Boer & Marianna Budaragina, Principal Energy and Carbon Regulations Consultants, Ricardo
