Three- weekly collections, they work!

Extending the frequency of residual waste collection has been gaining increasing momentum in recent years across the UK.

At present the number of local authorities providing three weekly residual waste collections is well into double figures most of whom have based their decisions on increasing recycling levels and delivering financial savings.

This webinar recording looks at our own independent research and share the insights from 1 or 2 of the authorities who have pioneered this transition. The session covers:

  • The scene today – the pioneers, and what did they do (and why?)
  • The threats and opportunities to extended frequency collections?
  • What are the likely impacts for authorities, contractors & residents?
  • Our recommendations for successful implementation of extended frequency collections.
