The increasing urgency to act on the climate emergency is common amongst councils and partnering waste management companies. Around three quarters of local authorities have declared a climate emergency, with some committed to much earlier targets of net zero by 2030.

We understand councils’ need to meet to respond to the climate emergency. Having supported local authorities across the UK towards carbon neutrality, one of the areas we have found where councils can easily take action is in their own fleet, with RCVs amongst the most energy intensive of these vehicles.
