Sustainable urban transport project
Ricardo supported the Ministry of Urban Development, the Government of India and the World Bank to determine the impact of sustainable transport projects (SUTP) on air quality across five indian cities.
The policy options evaluated include; the introduction of Intelligent Transport Systems, Bus Rapid Transit, bikeways and improvements for pedestrians. Review air quality emission factors and the impact of using transport emission evaluations models for projects (TEEMP).
Through the project many opportunities for SUTPs especially in Asia as air quality issues become more pronounced. Clear benefits may be demonstrated through work we’ve done in other cities in deploying a municipal policy framework.
