Tim Curtis – Managing Director

As Managing Director, Tim has overall responsibility for Ricardo Energy & Environment’s seven Practice areas, providing technical, economic and environmental solutions to governments, international agencies, and private sector organisations. A key element of his role is to ensure a focus on continuous improvement in service offerings for our clients.

Dodwell Chris
Chris Dodwell - Director, International Business Development

Chris is responsible for Ricardo Energy & Environment projects with governments, international agencies and business leaders worldwide.  He currently leads projects on a variety of topics in South Africa, India, China, Kenya, Latin America and Europe.  Prior to joining Ricardo Energy & Environment, Chris worked at the heart of UK climate change policy for 10 years, leading the UK delegation to the international climate negotiations and the UK’s implementation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme.  

Chris is able to comment on a range of international issues including:

Dr Geoff Dollard

Geoff is a world-renowned expert in the field of air quality, particularly respected for his unrivalled technical knowledge of air pollutants, their deposition and impacts. Geoff’s project experience includes the development of national pollution monitoring networks, national pollution emissions inventories, the national air quality archive and the provision of critical technical policy support to Defra in its development of the UK Air Quality Strategy.

Heather Haydock – Practice Director, Energy and Climate Change

Heather has managed energy technology programmes for the UK government and was instrumental in setting up the first UK fuel cell programme. Her clients include the UK government, the European Commission and the International Energy Agency. Her project experience includes providing advice on setting carbon budgets to the UK Government Committee on Climate Change. 

Heather is able to comment on a range of issues including:

Sujith Kollamthodi – Practice Director, Sustainable Transport

Sujith has an extensive track record in carrying out work for the UK government on transport-related sustainability issues, including road transport, railways, shipping, and aviation. On behalf of the Committee on Climate Change, Sujith led the development of a CO2 abatement project covering the UK road transport sector. He has also directed a study for the European Commission that developed a long-term policy framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector to 2050. Sujith is able to comment on a range of issues including:

Dr Adam Read – Practice Director, Resource Efficiency and Waste Management

Adam has a global reputation as a knowledge leader and innovator on resource efficiency, waste management and recycling. He leads Ricardo Energy & Environment’s team working for WRAP. Responsible for directing a range of projects in the areas of waste strategy and resource scarcity, Adam has been awarded an honorary professorship for his pioneering work on public engagement.

Jonathan Gibbard/Dan Haggerty – Chemical Risk and Compliance

Jon is the Practice Director for Ricardo Energy & Environment’s National Chemical Emergency Centre. Jon is responsible for the NCEC and the global chemical emergency response service. Dan is a leading expert in the field of chemical safety consultancy and leads NCEC’s team of emergency responders.
