Ricardo Energy & Environment’s renewable energy knowledge leader Colin McNaught will chair a session on energy infrastructure at the Industrial and Power Association’s (IPA) Power Scotland conference taking place in Glasgow on March 25, 2014.
Colin, the IPA chairman, will also welcome delegates to the annual event and introduce Fergus Ewing MSP, Minister of Energy and keynote speaker Graeme Sweeney from the Expert Commission on Energy Regulation.
The energy infrastructure session will include an electricity and gas connections update from the National Grid’s Julian Leslie. While Paul Mott from EDF will talk about a market participant’s view on generator connections and Steven Stocks and John Bingham from the Energy Technology Centre will talk about their work on energy storage – a vital network component in the delivery of a low carbon UK.
“I’m proud to be introducing the conference and looking forward to chairing the session on energy infrastructure,” said Colin McNaught. “It will be fascinating to hear what our speakers have to say as gaining network connections is such a critical issue.”
