Chris Dodwell

As Ricardo Energy & Environment’s Director of International Projects, Chris is responsible for developing relationships with international clients and partners and identifying new market opportunities across all our areas of expertise. Chris has over 15 years’ public and private sector experience in climate change, sustainable energy and environmental policy and regulation, specialising in international climate change and carbon markets. Since joining Ricardo Energy & Environment in 2011, he has directed projects on a variety of topics in South Africa, India, China, Kenya, Latin America and Europe and has worked for a variety of national governments, donors and international institutions. Prior to joining Ricardo Energy & Environment, Chris worked at the heart of UK climate change policy for 10 years including leading the UK delegation to the international climate negotiations and leading the UK implementation of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. Chris has an extensive global network of senior contacts within the UK Government, overseas governments, non-governmental organisations and the private sector.

Sean Christiansen

Sean has over two decades’ experience of environmental consultancy at local, national and international scales.  Sean’s engineering background underpins a career in air quality consultancy that covers all key disciplines - measurement, inventories, modelling and the development of policy and strategy. He has led high profile projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East that include national programmes, city scale projects and scheme level assessments. Sean's understanding of the challenges that tackling air quality problems present, and his appreciation of best practice approaches to addressing them, ensures that clients have access to the highest quality advice, supported by Ricardo Energy & Environment’s market leading air and environmental quality experts.

Adam Read
Adam Read

Adam is Practice Director for Resource Efficiency and Waste Management. Adam is world-renowned for his pioneering thinking on waste and recycling service design and stakeholder engagement. He has 18 years of experience both in the UK and internationally. His expertise has been sought by clients around the globe from Russia and the Middle East to Latin America and North Africa. His work includes important commissions in the Middle East, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Australia and the Americas and he has undertaken assignments for a range of international institutions including EBRD, IADB, the World Bank, DfID and the European Commission TACIS programme.
